Fastest route to a person
- The registrar gives you a Tell Us Once reference when you register the death
- Have your National Insurance number or reference number ready
- Listen to the menu once, then pick the closest option. If a voice asks why you're calling, keep it to two or three words
- If you're told to go online, ask once more for an adviser
- Write down the adviser's name, the date and any reference
Menu shortcuts change often. Tell us if one stops working.
